Recipe type: non-alcoholic cocktail/beverage
Serves: 2 x 6 ounce glass
Ingredients
  • Makes 2 x 6 oz/177 mL cocktails -- (pictured is a 6 fl oz/177 mL coupe glass)
  • ✿ 3 fl oz (89 mL) fresh lime juice
  • ✿ 3 fl oz (89 mL) elderflower syrup (Carmel Berry is the brand I'm using it is not overly sweet)
  • ✿ approx 4 fl oz (118 mL) Q elderflower tonic water or Q citrus tonic water (avoid strong flavours like grapefruit that will overpower the elderflower) //or// use hella non-alcoholic bitters & soda //or// just straight up soda — or some combination as preferred
  • ✿ ice
  • ✿ optional garnish ideas: a sprig of fresh thyme, lime wedge, edible flower.
  • Please Note: the amount of sugar in elderflower syrup will vary depending on brand - the one I'm using is Carmel Berry which is 7 g sugar per Tbsp - if yours is higher you may want to use less depending on your preferences.
  • You can find elderflower syrup at many grocery stores including Whole Foods as well as online.
Instructions
  1. Place fresh lime juice and elderflower syrup in a shaker with ice cubes
  2. Shake well and strain into 2 x 6 oz glass leaving enough room for ice (if using) and soda
  3. Top each glass with: Q elderflower tonic or Q citrus tonic //or// hella non-alcoholic bitters & soda //or// just straight up soda — or some combination as preferred — stir to combine and enjoy.
  4. Decorate with a garnish if you wish and enjoy!
  5. * You can mix the lime juice and elderflower syrup together if you don't have a shaker however i do like how the drink cools as it shakes with ice.
