and then came fall, the season of the soul that reminds us over and over again how beautiful it can be to gather, rest and let things go
So here we are in the third week of November and as many of us prepare to gather for a season of celebration, I thought it might be fun to share some holiday favorites with you – tablescapes, decorating inspo, gifty things – it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and I thought we could probably all use a little joy.
I recognize that we come from a variety of backgrounds and traditions and have different ways of celebrating as well as different life priorities so the focus of this particular feature is not on commercial links but rather simple DIY ideas to inspire your own creativity and direction.
I don’t think things have to be complicated or expensive to be impactful. Nature is my greatest inspiration and teacher; in its unadulterated form, I find it exquisite.
I hope some of these ideas spark joy – that’s really the intention.
Happy browsing! x

Anyone who knows me will testify that I am not one to decorate. :) My husband is SO much better at it than me. However, your post was quite inspiring and even though I know it’s just a little thing, I am going to cut some fresh rosemary and put it in with the napkins at Thanksgiving. My family will be shocked which will make it worth it. Ha Ha. Thanks for the inspiration Kelly and I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving week! A beautiful post!

I absolutely love it!! Go with the shock factor on the rosemary:) let me know how it goes, haha. Happy Thanksgiving friend, x.

your quiet rumblings sound perfect (is it possible that there are only 7 weeks left in 2021… whoa), x.

I just love the natural centrepieces, absolutely gorgeous! A few years ago, I found some wonderful birch bark and cut it to fit three glass vases that I put a tea light in, it lights up beautifully through the cracks of the birch bark on the table centre! This year, I’m going to take your lead and lay beautiful evergreens with herbs and red berries! I can’t wait !
kelly / inspired edibles says
ah, so nice to read about, thanks for sharing Eva — birch is a sentimental favourite and your 3 glass vases sound beautiful, i can see their light in front of me. Have fun playing around with the elements :)
