This non-alcoholic cocktail is made from the nectar of the delicately aromatic elderflower (elderflower syrup is so delicious!) — intermingled with bright citrus and a touch of earthy tonic (or sparkles of your choice).
You can dress it up for an elegant evening or keep it casual for a warm, sunny afternoon outside.
It’s easy like that.
And have i mentioned delicious?
A little sweet (elderflower syrup), a little sour (lime juice) and a little punchy (tonic or bitters as preferred) — or keep it simple with sparkling water if quinine and bitters are not your thing (I suggest lemon, lime or unflavored sparkling water to let the elderflower shine).
I hope this cocktail invites a quiet moment into your day.
We need those.
- Makes 2 x 6 oz/177 mL cocktails -- (pictured is a 6 fl oz/177 mL coupe glass)
- ✿ 3 fl oz (89 mL) fresh lime juice
- ✿ 3 fl oz (89 mL) elderflower syrup (Carmel Berry is the brand I'm using it is not overly sweet)
- ✿ approx 4 fl oz (118 mL) Q elderflower tonic water or Q citrus tonic water (avoid strong flavours like grapefruit that will overpower the elderflower) //or// use hella non-alcoholic bitters & soda //or// just straight up soda — or some combination as preferred
- ✿ ice
- ✿ optional garnish ideas: a sprig of fresh thyme, lime wedge, edible flower.
- Please Note: the amount of sugar in elderflower syrup will vary depending on brand - the one I'm using is Carmel Berry which is 7 g sugar per Tbsp - if yours is higher you may want to use less depending on your preferences.
- You can find elderflower syrup at many grocery stores including Whole Foods as well as online.
- Place fresh lime juice and elderflower syrup in a shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well and strain into 2 x 6 oz glass leaving enough room for ice (if using) and soda.
- Top each glass with: Q elderflower tonic or Q citrus tonic //or// hella non-alcoholic bitters & soda //or// just straight up soda — or some combination as preferred — stir to combine.
- Decorate with a garnish if you wish and enjoy!
- * You can simply mix the lime juice and elderflower syrup together if you don't have a shaker however i do like how the drink cools as it shakes with ice.

Some Questions for The Eclipse Portal (Lunar March 13 – Solar March 29) Virgo/Pisces Axis
Generally speaking, solar eclipses represent fresh starts and new beginnings, while lunar eclipses remind us of what is asking to be released.
The lunar eclipse in the south node in virgo is illuminating themes around closure — what we are ready to see and let go of. The solar eclipse happening later this month in the north node of pisces is inviting us into a process of surrender and alignment — what we are ready to move toward.
Here are some questions to play with this month:
- what themes, patterns and habits am i noticing getting louder in my life (pay attention to dreams, synchronicities and intuitive messages)
- which patterns feel old, tired and weighty
- where am i craving softness in my life right now
- how am i absorbing what’s in front of me today — physically (think digestion), emotionally and mentally
- what might i need to rest from to settle my nervous system
- what could i invite in to feel more nourished, supported and grounded
